This Privacy Policy describes how Tirade handles information when you use the Tirade macOS app.

Tirade is designed for local speech transcription. At this time, audio recorded in the app is processed locally on your device and is not sent to Tirade servers for transcription.

Depending on how you use the app, Tirade may process the following types of information:

• ∙ Microphone audio that you choose to record when you start a capture.
• ∙ Text transcribed locally from that audio.
• ∙ Transcription history stored locally on your device, along with limited local app state such as settings and usage status needed for the app to function.
• ∙ Clipboard or text-insertion actions when you choose to copy or automatically insert a transcription.
• ∙ Subscription and App Store receipt status information provided by Apple if you purchase Tirade Pro.

Tirade may request the following system permissions on macOS:

• ∙ Microphone access, to record audio for transcription.
• ∙ Accessibility access, which is optional and used only if you enable automatic insertion of transcribed text into the currently active app.

• To provide recording and local transcription features.
• To display your transcription history in the app.
• To copy text to the clipboard or insert it into the active app when that feature is enabled.
• To manage app access, including subscription features and purchase restoration.
• To maintain app settings and limited operational state.

Tirade does not sell personal information and does not use advertising SDKs in the app.

Your recordings and transcription history are not sent to Tirade servers for cloud processing.

If you purchase a subscription, Apple handles payment processing and may provide receipt and subscription status information so purchases can be validated and subscriber features can be enabled.

Transcription history is stored locally on your device until you delete it or remove the app's local data.

Other limited local app state may also remain on your device until it is cleared or the app is removed.

Tirade is designed to minimize data transfer by processing speech locally where possible.

Transcription history is stored in a local encrypted database. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Tirade is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through Tirade-operated online services in connection with the app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the effective date.
